Mr. Ataullah Faruk is a prominent figure with diverse roles and accomplishments. He serves as Chairman of London Development & Constructions Ltd, London Market UK Ltd, and Urban Properties Management Service (Dubai, UAE). He is the Director and CEO of Ion TV, a satellite television channel available on Sky 782. He graduated with honors from Greenwich University, holds an MBA from Anglia Ruskin University and a postgraduate degree from London South Bank University. He also has a background as a Research Assistant with Amnesty International in Bangladesh and the Maldives.
 
Faruk is known for his strong advocacy within the Bengali community in the UK and Europe. He has held significant positions such as Former Chairperson of the Bangladeshi Students Union UK, Founder of Voice for Bangladesh. He has presided over seven international conferences at the House of Lords, delivered keynote speeches six times there, and participated in five international conferences at the House of Commons on topics like minority attacks and human rights violations. Additionally, he has spoken at Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch conferences, and addressed issues like student safety at the Oxford Union.
Abbas Faiz is an international human rights law expert. He was formerly Amnesty International’s senior researcher on South Asia, including Bangladesh. He has travelled widely in Bangladesh and has reported on the country’s human rights situation for almost three decades. Faiz was (June 2021-Mrach 2024) the Special Envoy of the Maldives government monitoring the investigation, prosecution and trial of persons involved in a terror attack. He is a lecturer and Associate Supervisor at Essex University’s School of Law and an advisory board member at Northumbria University, London Campus.
 

Michael Polak is a barrister specialising in public international law, international crime, human rights, private prosecutions, strategic litigation, and serious criminal offences. He is known for his work before international courts, United Nations bodies, human rights-related arbitrations, and proceedings worldwide.

He was part of the team pushing for the release of Mir Ahmad Bin Quasem who was subject to enforced disappearance in 2016 and release this week

Michael Polak also serves as the Director of Justice Abroad, where he has represented families and individuals in various cases, including those detained arbitrarily or involved in suspicious death circumstances. His international work extends to managing cases in numerous countries and engaging with United Nations bodies on behalf of clients. Polak’s contributions to the legal field also include authoring articles on legal topics, such as INTERPOL Notices, and participating in legal research and advocacy at the international level.
